Snow Fit Program
For over 12 years we have been helping our clients to prepare for their snow trip overseas, or here in Australia.
The goal of our Snow Fit program is to improve your fitness, strength and control so that you can get the most out of your trip and recover more quickly for the next day on the slopes! Our clients consistently report how much better their snow trips have been after doing our specific program.
The snow fit program will also help reduce your risk of injury – however, the risk of injury isn’t as great as you may think – check out my blog post that I wrote about this recently.
Most snow fit programs will talk about reducing your injury risk – however, getting fitter and stronger for the snow is the critical part of this program.
Good strength and control in your thighs, butt, calf and hamstrings are important for the snow. Perched above this is your core, being able to absorb the forces of skiing or snowboarding means you get to enjoy your time in the snow a lot more.
But why bother with a Snow Fit Program?
We often see people for assessment and screening for Snow Fit that are deconditioned and not prepared for the specific demands of the snow.
Strength, control and balance don’t improve in a week or 2 – you need to spend time getting ready. A structured, progressive program will make all the difference in making sure you keep improving each week.
Improving how your body works means a more efficient system that absorbs the effort and load of skiing or snowboarding much better.
A snow trip is a significant investment of time and money – why not make sure you get the most out of your trip by getting as fit and strong as you can?
Snow Fit sessions are conducted 1 on 1 and in small group settings – in addition to this, you will also have a home based program to follow that requires almost no equipment.
